May 2022

First work party gathered to lay gopher wire & dig trench for a waterline. Quickly, realizing we were way too short of funds to build even the most basic court.
Word spread, donors of all sizes showed up.

The St. Leo’s Bocce Club was created by it’s founders, with the support of the St. Leo’s Men’s Club, to provide, a safe environment, a place of beauty, acceptance, and inclusion to all the people of Sonoma Valley. Our goal is to embrace the values of honor, respect, care, kindness, courtesy, teamwork, and good sportsmanship through the sport of Bocce.

SLBC was founded as a social and recreational club to promote and support the game of Bocce. The courts grounds were donated by Father Jojo Puthussery. Located on the grounds of St. Leo’s the Great Catholic Church, the club includes two bocce courts, two horseshoe pits. picnic grounds and garden areas. The Club is open to all members of the community as a welcoming place for friends to gather and play.
